Return, Refund, Cancellation, Pre-Order, Special Order, and Warranty Policy

At Justin's Trains, we strive to provide quality products and excellent customer service. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order, as it governs all purchases made through our website and other sales channels.

By placing an order with Justin's Trains, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.


1. General Sales Policy

All sales are considered final upon submission of an order.

Order cancellations are not permitted once an order has been placed.

Returns, refunds, and exchanges are available only as expressly described in this policy.

Justin's Trains reserves the right to refuse service, limit quantities, cancel suspicious orders, and correct pricing, inventory, or listing errors at any time.


2. Returns of New Merchandise

Return Eligibility

New merchandise may be returned within 7 calendar days of confirmed delivery to the shipping address associated with the order.

To qualify for a return, the item must:

  • Be unused and in original condition;

  • Include all original packaging, manuals, inserts, and accessories;

  • Show no signs of installation, operation, wear, modification, damage, or misuse;

  • Be accompanied by proof of purchase;

  • Be approved for return by Justin's Trains prior to shipment.

Items returned without authorization may be refused.

Refund Options

Store Credit

Customers may elect to receive store credit for an approved return.

  • No restocking fee applies.

  • Store credit is issued for the approved return amount.

  • Store credit may be applied toward future purchases.

  • Store credit is non-transferable and has no cash value.

Refund to Original Payment Method

Customers requesting a refund to their original payment method are subject to a 7% restocking fee.

The restocking fee will be deducted from the approved refund amount.

Original shipping charges, insurance charges, payment processing fees, and other service fees are non-refundable.

Return Shipping Costs

Unless the return results from an error by Justin's Trains or a verified defective product, customers are responsible for all return shipping expenses.

We strongly recommend using a trackable and insured shipping method.

Justin's Trains is not responsible for returned merchandise lost or damaged during transit.


3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return, refund, exchange, or store credit:

  • Used merchandise;

  • Special-order items;

  • Custom-order items;

  • Personalized items;

  • Clearance merchandise;

  • Liquidation merchandise;

  • Items sold "As-Is";

  • Gift cards;

  • Digital products or downloadable content;

  • Items missing original packaging or components;

  • Items showing signs of use, installation, modification, or damage.


4. Used Merchandise Policy

All used merchandise is sold AS IS, WHERE IS, and WITH ALL FAULTS.

All sales of used merchandise are final.

No returns, refunds, exchanges, credits, or warranties are provided on used merchandise unless expressly stated in writing.

Customers are encouraged to carefully review photographs and descriptions before purchasing.


5. Pre-Order Policy

Pre-Order Reservations

Pre-orders reserve inventory that has not yet arrived from the manufacturer or distributor.

Estimated arrival dates are provided solely as estimates and are subject to change without notice.

Justin's Trains cannot guarantee manufacturer production schedules, release dates, shipping timelines, allocations, or availability.

No Cancellations

Pre-orders may not be cancelled.

Manufacturer delays, revised release schedules, allocation reductions, production changes, packaging changes, or shipping delays do not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund.

Customers are responsible for ensuring they wish to purchase an item before placing a pre-order.

Allocation Reductions

In rare circumstances, manufacturers or distributors may allocate fewer units than ordered.

If Justin's Trains cannot fulfill a pre-order due to allocation reductions or manufacturer shortages, any payments received for the unfulfilled portion of the order will be refunded.


6. Special Order Policy

A "Special Order" is any item ordered, reserved, or procured specifically for a customer and not maintained as regular inventory by Justin's Trains.

Payment Requirement

All Special Orders require full payment in advance before the order is placed with the manufacturer, distributor, or supplier.

Final Sale

Because Special Orders are obtained specifically at the customer's request:

  • Special Orders cannot be cancelled.

  • Special Orders cannot be modified after submission.

  • Special Orders can be returned and refunded, only as store credit.

  • Special Orders are not eligible for exchange.

Manufacturer delays, allocation changes, production changes, packaging revisions, shipping delays, or discontinuations do not create eligibility for cancellation or refund.

If a manufacturer permanently discontinues a Special Order before fulfillment and Justin's Trains is unable to obtain the item, any amounts paid for the unavailable item will be refunded.


7. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Customers must inspect all shipments immediately upon delivery.

Claims involving:

  • Shipping damage;

  • Defective merchandise;

  • Missing components;

  • Incorrect items received;

must be reported to support@justinstrains.com within 72 hours of delivery.

Claims submitted after this period may be denied.

Photographs of the product, packaging, and shipping label may be required to process claims.

Justin's Trains reserves the right to determine the appropriate resolution, including replacement, repair, store credit, manufacturer referral, or refund.


8. Warranty Disclaimer and Manufacturer Warranties

Manufacturer Warranties

Many products sold by Justin's Trains are covered by warranties provided directly by their manufacturers.

Where applicable, customers should contact the manufacturer directly for warranty service, repairs, replacement parts, or warranty claims.

Manufacturer warranty terms vary and are controlled solely by the manufacturer.

No Additional Warranty

Except as expressly required by law, Justin's Trains makes no independent warranties regarding products sold through our website.

All products are sold:

"AS IS," "WITH ALL FAULTS," AND "AS AVAILABLE."

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Justin's Trains disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability;

  • Fitness for a particular purpose;

  • Non-infringement;

  • Accuracy;

  • Reliability;

  • Compatibility.

Justin's Trains shall not be responsible for manufacturer defects, production inconsistencies, design flaws, or warranty obligations assumed by manufacturers.


9. Refused Deliveries

Customers who refuse delivery of an order remain responsible for all costs incurred by Justin's Trains, including:

  • Original shipping charges;

  • Return shipping charges;

  • Carrier fees;

  • Payment processing fees;

  • Applicable restocking fees.

Refused shipments do not constitute valid cancellations.


10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Customers agree to contact Justin's Trains before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.

Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in:

  • Suspension of purchasing privileges;

  • Cancellation of future orders;

  • Collection efforts;

  • Legal action where permitted by law.

Justin's Trains reserves all rights and remedies available under applicable law.


11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Justin's Trains shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from:

  • Product purchases;

  • Product defects;

  • Shipping delays;

  • Manufacturer delays;

  • Loss of use;

  • Loss of profits;

  • Business interruption;

  • Data loss.

In all cases, Justin's Trains' maximum liability shall not exceed the amount actually paid for the product giving rise to the claim.


12. Policy Changes

Justin's Trains reserves the right to modify this policy at any time without prior notice.

The policy in effect at the time an order is placed shall govern that transaction unless otherwise required by law.
