American Limited Models is a U.S.-based manufacturer specializing in HO and N scale model railroad products. Founded in 1992 by Bob Fingerle, the company is renowned for its high-quality detail parts, including working diaphragms for passenger and diesel locomotives, as well as trackside accessories like fuel cranes and sand towers. In recent years, American Limited expanded into the ready-to-run freight car market. Their first offering was the HO scale Trinity 3281 cubic-foot two-bay covered hopper, featuring a one-piece injection-molded body, wire grab irons, and road-number-specific details. Following this, they released GATC welded tank cars, such as the Santa Fe Tk-N and Tk-O postwar models, suitable for layouts from the late 1940s through the early 1990s. Now operating as a division of San Juan Model Company, Inc., and based in Arvada, Colorado, American Limited continues to focus on delivering accurate, finely detailed models that enhance realism and operational authenticity for model railroaders.
